Casieddu
Typical Lucanian cheese, it is usually produced when the flock is in a dry period and the quantity of milk is low. The months with higher production are July to September. Donato di Accettura gives us these splendid products made with pasteurized goat milk, with a slightly acidic taste, which can be consumed sliced or grated. A typical product from the entire Basilicata region, in some Village it was traditionally wrapped in fern leaves.
