Aglianico del Vulture DOC Synthesi

The Paternoster wineries are among the oldest in Basilicata, boasting over 100 years of activity. Their production spans approximately 20 hectares mainly in the municipality of Barile where Aglianico del Vulture, Fiano, and Moscato grape varieties can be found. It is said that the Syntesi fully expresses the characteristics of Aglianico del Vulture, from the type to the territory, from the structure to the longevity. We are convinced that the difference is made by the medium-textured and mineral-rich territory. The wine is aged in Slavonian barrels and French barriques before spending 7/8 months in the bottle.
In appearance, it is ruby red while on the nose it expresses notes of blueberry and black pepper. On the palate it is persistent and round, well-defined.
It obviously pairs well with red meats and game in general.
