Almond Biscuits are a speciality typical of Corleto Perticara, in Basilicata, where they are traditionally called "friselle". Although their shape resembles the famous Tuscan cantucci, they represent a recipe deeply rooted in Lucanian confectionery tradition, handed down through generations.

Almond Biscuits are made by hand at Giovanni Demma bakery, a historic bakery in Corleto Perticara. The use of simple, high-quality ingredients, combined with traditional methods, produces fragrant biscuits rich in almonds, perfect at any time of day.

Perfect with Tea, Coffee and Dessert Wines

Almond Biscuits are ideal enjoyed with tea, coffee or herbal infusions, but also pair beautifully with sweet wines and passito wines, in keeping with the tradition of Italian dry biscuits. Excellent for breakfast, after a meal or during a break, they bring all the authentic flavour of Lucanian artisan confectionery to the table.
