Aglianico del Vulture 400 Some
"400 Some" Aglianico del Vulture DOC
Carbone Winery was born in 2005 from the will of the Carbone brothers. As often happens, there was already a family tradition for wine production thanks to their father and uncle.
The main vineyard is obviously the Aglianico del Vulture, which finds its preferred terroir, a medium-textured and mineral soil. From these ingredients comes a full-bodied red wine like the 400 Some, which takes its name from Carlo d'Angiò's desire to buy 400 bottles after staying on the hills of Vulture.
The wine matures in small barrels of II and III generation before being finally bottled.
It pairs well with classic dishes of Lucanian cuisine and aged cheeses like the Pecorino of Filiano.
