Organic Altamura PGI Lentils

Organic Altamura PGI Lentils from the Murgia

Organic Altamura PGI Lentils are one of the most representative legumes of the Alta Murgia, an area spanning Puglia and Basilicata. Grown in accordance with the Protected Geographical Indication production specifications and originating from organic farming, they reflect a long agricultural tradition based on quality, biodiversity and respect for the land.

A Versatile Legume Rich in Tradition

Organic Altamura PGI Lentils are selected by small producers belonging to the protection consortium. Depending on the variety, they may be smaller, ideal for salads thanks to their ability to hold their shape during cooking, or larger, perfect for soups, broths and traditional rural recipes.

Perfect for Soups, Salads and Mediterranean Dishes

Organic Altamura PGI Lentils are extremely versatile in the kitchen. They are suitable for preparing soups, creamy purées, broths, side dishes and legume salads, making them an essential ingredient in Mediterranean cuisine thanks to their authentic flavour and the quality guaranteed by PGI certification.
