The term "liqueur" comes from the Latin word "liquor," meaning "liquid substance," and refers to a category of sweet alcoholic beverages with a spirited soul. Liqueurs have ancient origins; history tells us that they were made by Benedictine monks in abbeys and monasteries using natural herbs, primarily for their well-known digestive properties. The liqueurs we offer are produced in Basilicata, specifically in San Chirico Raparo, by Mrs. Caterina, who has preserved recipes passed down through generations.
