A Rosé Made Entirely from Aglianico del Vulture

Il Rogito is a Basilicata IGT rosé wine produced by Cantine del Notaio exclusively from Aglianico del Vulture grapes. Unusually structured for a rosé, it also appeals to lovers of red wine. Historical accounts describe rosé wines being enjoyed at the papal court in the sixteenth century, a tradition this wine interprets with elegance and character.

Oak Ageing and Aromatic Profile

Il Rogito ages for at least 12 months in oak tonneaux, developing complexity and a pleasantly spicy finish. Aromas of woodland red berries emerge on the nose, followed by similar fruit notes on the palate, with the balance and lingering structure characteristic of Aglianico del Vulture.

Food Pairings and Awards

Thanks to its structure and versatility, Il Rogito pairs well with fish, meat and Italian cheeses. Its balance of freshness and intensity makes it suitable for a variety of occasions. In 2018 it was awarded best rosé wine at Vinitaly, a recognition of its standing among Italian wines.
