Mediterranean Tuna in Olive Oil

Finding traditional tuna fisheries that still produce authentic Mediterranean tuna is becoming increasingly rare. We are proud to offer a true gem from the heart of the Mediterranean Sea: the historic Carloforte Tuna Fishery, located on San Pietro Island, off the coast of Sardinia.

Here, the traditional "Tuna of the Run" (Tonno di Corsa) is still caught. This name refers to tuna harvested during their migration between April and June, when they reach their highest level of quality, flavor, and nutritional value.

During spring, bluefin tuna leave the cold waters of the North Atlantic and pass through the Strait of Gibraltar on their way into the Mediterranean to spawn. They are caught during this journey, when they are at their peak condition, with firm, tender, and richly flavored meat. After spawning, they begin their return journey to the Atlantic without feeding, giving rise to the distinction between "Tuna of the Run" and "Return Tuna."

Standard shipping within Italy costs €8.90. Orders over €99 qualify for free shipping within Italy.

We carefully pack our products to protect them from impacts, compression and temperature changes. Special protective packaging is used where needed.

Delivery within Italy generally takes 24–72 hours after dispatch. For EU destinations, delivery times and charges depend on the destination, parcel weight and shipping service selected at checkout. Faster and more economical services may be available.

Please allow up to two working days for order preparation. To avoid weekend delays, fresh products such as cheese, bread and cured meats are generally not dispatched from Thursday onwards.
