Sweet and Sour Tropea Onion Base

One of the few Calabrian companies that produces, processes, and markets one of the region's most famous products: Tropea onions. The onions, which retain their firmness, are blanched in white wine vinegar and sugar. They can be enjoyed as a side dish or appetizer.
